AI Product Lead, Macro

Summary

The AI Product Lead, Macro will be embedded within the firm’s Global Macro business, responsible for identifying and building potential solutions that leverage Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to help deliver productivity improvements and differentiated insights. You will manage a team of AI/ML researchers and developers and partner with business heads, investment professionals, and our Investment Services team to identify opportunities, define requirements, prioritize use cases, and deploy and scale AI/ML solutions.

 What You’ll Do

• Lead the development of AI solutions with the goal of generating differentiated performance for Point72’s Discretionary Macro business. This includes
  • identifying, scoping, and prioritizing AI projects, initiating, developing, and delivering potential solutions through a nuanced understanding of Point72’s infrastructure, technology, and algorithms, and integrating approved AI applications into the Discretionary Macro business.
• Summarize research by analyzing with NLP or LLM techniques
• Build and maintain connectivity APIs to integrate external data with internal systems.
• Map trade ideas to internal metadata structures to ensure accurate and consistent data alignment for discretionary investment teams
• Lead small team of AI Researchers and Developers
• Manage the product development lifecycle from ideation to deployment
• Track and communicate progress and challenges across AI Macro initiatives
• Partner with other product leads and their teams as well as our Technology and Compliance departments to help define the firm’s AI strategy
• Partner internally to establish rigorous model governance practices, including testing, monitoring, and documentation to ensure solutions are accurate and bias-free
• Stay up to date on the AI/ML market landscape, trends, and technological innovations to provide recommendations on new tools and methodologies

What’s required

• 10+ years of experience in leading tech/engineers/quants
• Demonstrated success leveraging AI to drive/improve business outcomes
• Experience and knowledge of macro investing, or alternatively a demonstrated capacity to rapidly learn and understand principles based on a strong quantitative foundation
• History of attracting and developing AI/ML talent
• Team-first and impact-centric approach
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field

The annual base salary range for this role is $250,000-$400,000, which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
