AI Office Lead – International Health (Strategy, Literacy & Governance Enablement) 

Role Summary 

The AI Office Lead – International Health (Strategy, Literacy & Governance Enablement) plays a critical role in advancing Cigna Healthcare’s International Health AI transformation. This role partners closely with the International AI Office, AI Governance leadership, and cross‑functional stakeholders to operationalize AI strategy, enable responsible AI adoption, strengthen AI literacy aligned to compliance, and scale a centralized AI Community of Practice. 

This role acts as a connector and force multiplier, ensuring AI efforts across International Health are aligned, compliant, and positioned to deliver measurable business value. 

Key Responsibilities 

AI Strategy Enablement & Execution 

  • Partner with International AI Office leadership to translate AI strategy into actionable plans, roadmaps, and operating artifacts. 

  • Support alignment of AI initiatives with International Health priorities, value governance, and readiness expectations. 

  • Prepare executive‑level materials, insights, and updates for AI governance forums and leadership reviews. 

  • Identify execution risks, dependencies, and opportunities to accelerate AI adoption across regions and functions. 

AI Literacy & Education (Compliance‑Aligned) 

  • Design and deliver role‑based AI literacy and enablement programs for business, product, delivery, and leadership audiences. 

  • Ensure all AI education aligns with Responsible AI principles, regulatory requirements, privacy, and security standards. 

  • Partner with Privacy, Legal, Compliance, and Workforce Adoption teams to keep learning content current and regionally relevant. 

  • Promote clarity on what teams can do, should do, and must not do when leveraging AI. 

AI Governance Enablement (Support Role) 

  • Support the AI Governance Lead by helping operationalize governance processes, standards, and ways of working. 

  • Enable consistent application of AI intake, review, escalation, and operating rhythms across International Health. 

  • Develop and maintain governance playbooks, SLAs, and supporting documentation. 

  • Act as a liaison across value governance, regulatory compliance, workforce adoption, and technology governance teams. 

AI Community of Practice (COP) Leadership 

  • Lead and scale a centralized International Health AI Community of Practice

  • Curate and share best practices, reusable assets, success stories, and lessons learned. 

  • Foster collaboration across regions, business lines, and delivery teams to reduce duplication and accelerate learning. 

  • Help build a strong AI culture grounded in transparency, responsibility, and innovation. 

AI Operating Model & Continuous Improvement 

  • Support maturation of the International Health AI operating model and ways of working. 

  • Clarify engagement models between strategy, governance, and delivery teams. 

  • Identify gaps, friction points, and improvement opportunities as AI capabilities scale. 

  • Contribute to the evolution of AI governance and enablement practices based on real‑world adoption insights. 

Required Qualifications 

Experience 

  • 8–12+ years of experience in strategy, transformation, enablement, or operating model roles. 

  • Experience supporting AI, data, advanced analytics, or digital transformation initiatives. 

  • Background working in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, insurance, financial services). 

  • Proven experience operating in global, cross‑functional environments

Skills & Capabilities 

  • Strong ability to translate complex AI concepts into clear, actionable guidance for non‑technical audiences. 

  • Executive‑ready communication skills, including written narratives and presentation development. 

  • Change leadership and enablement mindset, with a focus on adoption and sustainability. 

  • Solid understanding of AI governance, Responsible AI, and compliance considerations (without being the decision authority). 

  • Highly collaborative, organized, and comfortable influencing without direct authority. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience standing up or operating within an AI Center of Excellence, AI Office, or similar governance model. 

  • Familiarity with healthcare data, privacy regulations, and international operating environments. 

  • Experience building communities of practice or enterprise enablement programs.
