Rockstar is recruiting for a media production studio that builds an agent harness for media production. The client is a dynamic team of creative and technical professionals who are revolutionizing how content is created at scale. They combine AI-first development with creative expertise to automate and enhance media production workflows.
Location: Manila studio, working closely with the New York team
The engineer will be the engineer in a pod at the client’s Manila studio, paired with a creative specialist: a VFX artist, editor, motion designer, or strategist. Their job is to make them 10x more productive. They watch how they work, then build agents, skills, scripts, and full-stack tools inside the client’s agent harness for media production that automate the repetitive parts of their craft.
They will also ship features across the harness itself, from the interface creatives use every day to the backend that runs thousands of phones and generation jobs. The client works AI-first: the engineer will write most of their code with Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor, and they will ship fast.
- Pair with a creative and turn their workflow into agents, skills, and tools that 10x their output
- Build full-stack features in the harness: frontend, backend, APIs, and data
- Wire generative media models (video, image, voice) into reliable production pipelines
- Automate rendering, editing, and publishing across thousands of accounts and devices
- Ship daily, measure the time your tools save, and keep improving them
- Document what you build so every pod can reuse it
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Full-stack experience: TypeScript or JavaScript, React or Next.js, Node or Python, and SQL
- AI-native: you use Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor every day and know how to get great work out of them
- Demonstrated interest in building: side projects, open source, hackathons, or apps you shipped on your own
- Creative minded: you have taste and care about what makes content good
- Strong written and spoken English; you will work closely with the New York team
- Bonus: Experience with generative media APIs (Runway, Higgsfield, Kling, Veo, ElevenLabs), FFmpeg, Remotion, or mobile device automation
The client needs real builders. The ideal candidate has a history of making things nobody asked them to make, and they finish them. They would rather ship a rough version today than a perfect one next month.

Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Full-stack experience with TypeScript or JavaScript, React or Next.js, Node or Python, and SQL
- Daily experience using Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor
- Demonstrated history of building and shipping side projects, open-source projects, hackathon projects, or personal applications
- Creative mindset and interest in producing high-quality content
- Strong written and spoken English
- Experience with generative media APIs such as Runway, Higgsfield, Kling, Veo, or ElevenLabs
- Experience with FFmpeg, Remotion, or mobile device automation
