This is a role for someone early in their career who is sharp, curious, and genuinely excited about using AI to do meaningful work. You will be part of Merkle's AI-first operations team — a small group supporting how the business runs across finance, staffing, delivery, and client growth.
As a generalist on this team, you will work across a range of needs — supporting project management, helping analyze data, documenting processes, and picking up work where the team needs coverage. You will have exposure to how a large professional services organization operates, and you will use AI tools every single day. If you are someone who learns fast, works independently, and wants to grow quickly in an environment that rewards initiative, this is a great place to start.
Candidates with experience or interest in capacity planning and resource management are strongly encouraged to apply — this is an area of active need for the team.

Job Description:
What You Will Do
- Support senior BAs and team leads with analysis, documentation, and project coordination across a range of operational topics
- Use AI tools — including Claude — to research, summarize, draft, and analyze as a core part of your daily work
- Help maintain project trackers, action logs, and status updates across active workstreams
- Assist with capacity planning and resource management activities, including tracking staffing data, supporting demand forecasting, and flagging gaps
- Document processes, meeting outcomes, and decisions clearly and consistently
- Take on ad hoc tasks and short-cycle requests with speed and accuracy — this team moves fast and needs people who can keep up
- Flag issues, ask good questions, and escalate when something is unclear — we want proactive team members, not passive ones
Who You Are
- You have 1-3 years of experience in a business analyst, operations coordinator, project management, or similar role
- You have delivered real work using AI tools — including Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, or equivalent — not just experimented with them. You have built automations, generated outputs, and solved problems using AI as your primary tool. You have invested time in understanding how these tools work so you can push them further. You are always looking for what you can do with AI that others have not tried yet
- You are organized, reliable, and follow through on commitments without needing to be reminded
- You write clearly and concisely — you can produce a status update, a process doc, or a data summary that people actually want to read
- You are comfortable working independently across time zones with minimal oversight
- You are eager to learn and grow — this team will challenge you and give you room to do that
- AI, project management, or data certifications are a plus — we actively support professional development
