About the job:
You’ll be joining a multidisciplinary team of scientists, researchers, designers and engineers who research and innovate on latest technology to create awesome digital products that millions of people will experience every day.
You will be responsible for building and deploying AI/ML solutions that improve customer experience, enable innovative user experiences, and increase store revenue. Engineers in the Enterprise AI team have solid technical background but enjoy learning new languages, technologies, and frameworks. From creating an experimental machine learning prototype to deploying a production-ready backend, engineers at 7-Eleven take many hats to see projects to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, prototype, and develop software solutions to solve problems across retail.
- Stay up to date with emerging technology and learn new technologies/libraries/frameworks.
- Learn and partner with peers across multiple disciplines, such as data, product, and systems design.
- Deliver on time with a high bar on quality of research, innovation and engineering
Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience with feature engineering and core statistical techniques.
- 2+ years of experience training, evaluating and deploying AI/ML models into production, specifically AI solutions that involve LLMs.
- 2+ years of experience building complex AI systems with Vector Databases, Memory etc.
- 2+ years of experience with productionizing and deploying ML workloads in the major cloud providers. Databricks experience preferred.
- Familiarity with containerized application tooling and deployments (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science/Engineering/Math, or relevant experience.
Extra Credit:
- Experience with databases, API and backend development.
- Experience delivering production quality systems leveraging emerging technologies, including AI Assisted coding tools.
