The Role
Owns Factbird’s internal AI tooling, licensing, adoption, documentation, training, and responsible-use guidelines. The role identifies automation opportunities, evaluates new AI tools, measures organizational impact, supports advanced multi-agent and integration use cases, and champions company-wide AI productivity. It requires strong AI tool understanding, independent ownership, cross-functional project leadership, and the ability to train nontechnical colleagues.
Summary Generated by Built In
At Factbird, we help manufacturers see what’s really happening on their lines—so they can make better, faster decisions. Our plug-and-play hardware and cloud platform turn live production data into clear insights, and we’re scaling fast across sites, teams, and countries.
As our AI Enablement Coordinator, you'll shape how Factbird uses AI internally — everything from everyday chatbots and coworking tools to more advanced, multi-agent setups. It's a hybrid role: technical enough to question how these tools actually work, and people-facing enough to help the rest of the company get real value out of them.
About the role

This is a mid-career, professional-level position on Factbird's career ladder. You'll own your area end to end with real independence, and you're expected to connect what you do to business impact, not just tasks — it's a natural next step for someone technical who wants their next move to be toward project leadership and organisation-wide influence, rather than deeper into pure engineering. It's also a brand-new role, so there's both the opportunity and the need for you to help define it.
You'll thrive here if you like owning a broad, loosely defined area and figuring out for yourself what matters most — and if you get a kick out of helping people who are less technical than you get genuinely useful things done with AI.

Key Responsibilities
Tooling, licensing & adoption
• Own and administer our internal AI tooling — what we use, how it's set up, and how people learn to use it well
• Manage licenses for internal AI tools, keeping an eye on cost and making sure usage stays compliant
• Build the training and documentation that helps the rest of the company adopt what you roll out. This includes building and managing a company-wide library of reusable skills, prompts and agents
• Create a roadmap of processes and workflows that can be automated with AI, and support departments across Factbird in making it happen

Impact & strategy
• Look for ways AI can genuinely help in every department — through productivity, engagement, quality — and figure out how to measure and report on that impact, good and bad
• Own our AI usage guidelines and security best practices (in collaboration with our Security & Compliance function), ensuring we are safe and responsible while growing with AI
• Stay on top of what's happening in AI (including evaluating new tooling) and bring good ideas back to Factbird before everyone else catches up
• Support moderate users with clear, practical guidance that builds their confidence
• Support solving advanced use cases, like multi-agent systems, custom integrations, and edge cases
• Be a company-wide champion for increasing organisational productivity using AI, including building and delivering an AI learning program for the whole organisation

About you
We're looking for someone technical enough to genuinely understand how AI tools work, and independent enough to run with a broad, still-undefined mandate.
You'll sit within Engineering, but the job itself is company-wide — you'll be the person who knows what we're using, what it costs, and whether it's actually working.
Requirements
• At least 2 years of experience since graduating from a relevant technical Masters program (more is a plus), ideally gained across one or two different companies — enough to have seen more than one way of doing things
• Strong technical understanding of AI and AI tooling — you don't need to build models, but you do need to genuinely understand how the tools work
• An interest in growing beyond a purely technical track and into project management and cross-team influence
• Comfort working independently and owning a broad, loosely defined area — part of the job is figuring out what to prioritise
• Clear communication — you'll explain AI capabilities and limits to people with a wide range of technical comfort
• Experience training, coaching, or presenting to non-technical colleagues — you have a knack for making complex tools feel approachable
•  A proactive streak: this role exists because someone needs to push AI adoption forward, not wait for a roadmap to say so

Why Factbird?
