Join our Enterprise AI & Data team and help build the data and AI capabilities that power better outcomes for customers, colleagues and the Society. As an AI, Data & Machine Learning Engineer, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to develop and support data products, machine learning models and AI solutions that solve real business problems.

 

You'll help create reliable data pipelines, prepare and transform data for analytics and machine learning, and contribute to the deployment and monitoring of AI solutions in production. Working closely with engineers, data scientists, product owners and business experts, you will apply modern engineering practices to deliver secure, scalable and well-governed solutions.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong foundation in software engineering, data engineering or analytics who wants to develop their expertise in machine learning, artificial intelligence and cloud technologies while working on meaningful customer and colleague outcomes.

Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing

 

You'll spend your day building and enhancing data pipelines, preparing data for analysis and machine learning, and supporting the delivery of AI products that solve business challenges. You'll work closely with engineers, data scientists and business stakeholders to understand requirements and turn them into reliable technical solutions. You'll contribute to testing, deploying and monitoring machine learning models while maintaining high standards of quality, security and governance. You'll continuously learn and apply new technologies, helping the team improve the way data and AI solutions are developed and operated.


About you

 

To be successful in this role, you'll have: 

  • Practical experience building, maintaining or supporting data pipelines and data processing solutions in a commercial or academic environment. 
  • Demonstrable proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language such as Python. 
  • Knowledge of machine learning concepts, including model development, evaluation and deployment fundamentals. 
  • Experience working with cloud-based data or analytics platforms and services. 
  • Understanding of software engineering practices, including testing, version control and code quality standards. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with examples of using data to solve complex business or technical challenges. 
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
