At Intertec.io, we build AI ,data  and software-driven products for industrial and manufacturing clients across Europe. This internship is designed as an intensive, hands-on engineering program focused on building real PoCs and MVPs, not training exercises. During three months, you will rotate across multiple projects and technology stacks and work closely with software engineers, data engineers, AI engineers,UX designers,and client-facing teams.

The goal of the program is to prepare you for a future role in teams that design and deliver fast, production-ready prototypes and MVPs in close collaboration with users and stakeholders.

The position

As an AI & Data Engineering Intern you will work on real client and internal innovation projects and contribute across the full product lifecycle from understanding the problem, through data and AI integration to backend, frontend and deployment.

You will also be exposed early to software architecture design and learn how to make pragmatic architectural decisions for fast-moving PoC and MVP projects.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the implementation of PoCs and MVPs across different domains and technology stacks.
• Participate in problem discovery sessions together with engineers, UX designers and project leads.
• Design and implement backend services and APIs.
• Support frontend implementation and integration with UX designs.
• Work with data pipelines, data models and analytics components
• Contribute to AI-enabled features (LLMs, embeddings, automation or ML components where applicable).
• Participate in basic DevOps and deployment workflows (CI/CD, cloud environments, containerisation).
• Collaborate closely with UX and product teams to translate user needs into working software.
• Learn and apply pragmatic software architecture patterns suitable for fast delivery and future scalability.
• Actively communicate progress, challenges and technical decisions within the team.

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.
• Solid programming fundamentals in at least one modern language (e.g. Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or similar).
• Basic understanding of (Web application development, APIs and backend services and relational or NoSQL databases).
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Availability for a full-time, 3-month internship.
