About the role
- Research and collect legislative and regulatory information from approved and reliable sources, and maintain a structured, searchable legislation repository with appropriate tagging, categorisation and data-quality checks.
- Use approved AI tools for information extraction, classification, summarisation and trend identification, while validating AI-generated outputs against source material and documenting assumptions and limitations.
- Design and develop clear, interactive dashboards using Power BI or similar BI tools, covering regulatory developments, geography, themes, sectors, timelines, source status, risks and opportunities.
- Clean, transform and analyse regulatory datasets; support data models and repeatable update processes; and monitor data completeness, accuracy and verification status.
- Collaborate with Innovation, Sustainability, business, development and support teams to understand information needs, present findings and incorporate stakeholder feedback.
What we need from you
- The candidate should be a student or recent graduate in data analytics, computer science, AI, business analytics, law and technology, sustainability, environmental science or a related discipline, with strong research and analytical skills. Exposure to regulatory, legal, policy, ESG or sustainability research and experience with a university or personal data project are desirable.
- From a technical perspective, the role requires good Excel skills, the ability to organise data accurately, familiarity with data visualisation and the responsible use of AI tools. Experience with Power BI, Microsoft Copilot or comparable analytics/AI tools is desirable.
- The candidate should also have good written and verbal English, attention to detail, clear communication skills, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and respect for confidentiality and data-protection requirements. The ability to manage priorities, explain technical findings to non-technical audiences and proactively contribute ideas is also desirable.
