Ericsson's Technical Service organization is seeking a highly motivated AI & Automation Intern to support digital transformation and operational excellence initiatives.
In this role, you will collaborate with both technical and business teams to identify, develop, and implement AI-enabled solutions, automate repetitive processes, and support data-driven decision-making. The internship provides practical experience in applying AI and automation technologies to telecommunications network operations and maintenance.
This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience and understand how AI and automation are reshaping service operations within a global telecommunications company.
What you will do
- Support the development and optimization of automated delivery processes for telecommunications network software.
- Assist in the development of AI-driven applications for network fault detection, root cause analysis, traffic forecasting, and predictive maintenance.
- Develop automation scripts and tools to enhance operations and maintenance efficiency.
- Participate in technical knowledge-sharing activities and contribute ideas for continuous improvement and innovation.
- Apply academic knowledge and emerging technologies to practical business scenarios with a proactive, curious, and results-oriented mindset.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Automation, or related discipline.
- Proficiency in Python programming is required.
- Familiarity with Linux environments and Shell scripting.
- Basic understanding of Git version control and standard software engineering practices.
- Foundational knowledge of machine learning and data analysis; exposure to PyTorch or TensorFlow is an advantage.
- Understanding of automation tools such as Ansible and CI/CD practices, or basic knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP and telecommunications networks.
- Demonstrated learning agility, curiosity, and innovative thinking.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- High level of responsibility, ownership, and attention to detail.
Additional Information
- Location: Beijing
- Working Hours: Minimum of 4 working days per week
- Internship Duration: Preference for a 3-month commitment
- Mentorship: One-on-one guidance from a senior engineer
- Language: Good written and spoken English is preferred
