Zocks is headquartered in San Francisco, while our entire R&D organization - Engineering, Product, Design, Data, and Infrastructure - is based in Budapest. This means our Budapest teams don't just execute on a product built elsewhere: they're directly responsible for shaping the product, technology, and how we build them as we grow.
We’re looking for an AI Product Operations Intern to work closely with our CTO and Product team on a very practical challenge: how can we use AI to make the way we build products faster and smarter?
This isn’t a traditional Product Management internship. You won’t spend your days taking meeting notes or updating Jira tickets manually. Instead, you’ll look at how our PM team works today, identify repetitive or inefficient steps, and experiment with ways to automate or improve them using AI.
You’ll get direct exposure to how an AI product company operates, work closely with experienced Product Managers and our CTO, and turn ideas into workflows and tools that people actually use.
What you’ll do- Work directly with our CTO and Product Managers to understand how our product development processes work today
- Identify repetitive, manual, or time-consuming tasks that could be improved with AI
- Build and experiment with AI-powered workflows, automations, and internal tools
- Connect information and workflows across the tools our Product team already uses
- Prototype solutions quickly and test them with the team
- Evaluate whether your automations actually save time or improve the quality of our work
- Document successful workflows so they can be adopted across the Product organization
- Keep exploring new AI tools and approaches that could make our internal processes better
Depending on what we discover together, you might work on things like:
- Turning different sources of product feedback into structured insights
- Helping PMs summarize and categorize customer needs at scale
- Automating parts of product research and competitive analysis
- Connecting information scattered across different internal tools
- Creating AI workflows around product documentation and specifications
- Helping turn raw information into structured inputs for product decisions
- Building lightweight internal AI tools for repetitive PM tasks
The important part: we already know there are plenty of opportunities, but we don’t expect you to simply execute a predefined list. Part of the job is figuring out what is actually worth automating.
What we're looking forYou don't need years of professional experience, but we do expect you to have some hands-on experience, whether through internships, university projects, or things you've built on your own.
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys technology, experiments with new tools, and doesn't wait for an assignment to start building something.
You might be studying Computer Science, Business Informatics, AI, Data, or a similar field – but what you've actually tried and built matters more than the name of your degree.
You'll probably enjoy this role if you:
Like experimenting with AI tools and finding practical ways to use them
Enjoy building things, even if they're small, imperfect, or just for fun
Like understanding how a process works before trying to improve it
Can break ambiguous problems into logical steps and figure things out independently
Enjoy building quick prototypes, testing ideas, and iterating on them
Can understand non-technical people's problems and turn them into practical solutions
Are curious about what AI can already automate today – and where it still falls short
Active full-time university student status in Hungary
Ability to work 32–40 hours per week
Some practical experience through previous work, internships, university projects, or personal side projects
Hands-on experience building at least one AI-powered proof of concept, automation, agent, or small application, using tools such as Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, n8n, or similar. It doesn't need to be production-ready!
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
Confident Hungarian and good written and spoken English
Availability to work from our Budapest office Monday–Thursday
Zocks builds AI products for financial advisors in the US, and our entire R&D organization is based in Budapest.
For this internship, you’ll be sitting unusually close to the decisions: working directly with our CTO and Product team and experimenting with how AI changes the way a product organization itself operates.
You won’t be given a finished system to maintain. You’ll have room to explore, build, test, fail, improve, and see your solutions become part of how the team works every day.
