Objectives and Responsibilities:
The AI assisted software engineer serves as developer for various business requirements and the primary operator of AI coding agents, turning business requirements and technical guidance into high-quality, production-ready code outputs through design documents and source code review as well as involvement in overall solution development process.
1.The AI Assisted Software Engineer plays a core execution and development role where he drives AI-assisted coding tasks, ensuring proper implementation of features, refactoring, and testing aligned with business objectives.
2.The role ensures that the team adopts best-in-class AI assisted coding techniques and coding workflows as well as leading the rollout of code base management, code review and test automation practices.
3.The role ensures that the team is constantly building effective working relationships and delivering AI-generated solutions that drive the business objectives.
4.The role also provides technical support and knowledge transfer to other team members while simultaneously guaranteeing code quality, testing coverage, and compliance.
5.The role will also play a hands-on engineering role researching, designing, implementing, and deploying AI-augmented code solutions to address various business requirements.
6.The AI assisted software engineer is also tasked with modeling complex code transformations, discovering optimization opportunities, and identifying improvements through the use of algorithmic, AI agent, and debugging techniques.
7.The role also plays a strategic role where he is tasked with formulating new and creative ideas for leveraging AI tools to accelerate legacy code refactoring and establish accurate and scalable development systems across varied applications.
Required Qualifications:
1.The AI Assisted Software Engineer must have a bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or any other related technical field. An equivalent of the same in working experience is also acceptable for the position.
2.A candidate for this position must have had at least 3 years of working experience in a software engineering (experience in Java, Node.js/TypeScript, Python and mainstream development framework, as well as database systems – MySQL, HBase and MongoDB etc.) or coding capacity within a fast-paced and complex business setting.
3.The candidate will also have hands-on experience working with AI coding agents and tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or similar generative AI development platforms.
4.The candidate must also have had substantial experience in full-life cycle software development as well as experience working with modern programming languages and frameworks.
5.A suitable candidate for this position will also have had experience in code refactoring, multi-file changes, and automated testing inclusive of legacy system migration projects.
6.The candidate will also have had experience working with large codebases as well as experience cleaning, organizing, and documenting technical code environments.
7.Experience working with GPT, RAG, and other Gen AI tech related to software engineering would be much preferred.
8.Communication skills are an absolute necessity both in written and verbal form, especially when collaborating on AI assisted engineering and code review.
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
