The AI Architect has a wide range of responsibilities that includes designing state-of-the-art AI systems for clients while also assisting in pre-sales efforts to pave the way for Point B’s AI Accelerator. This role relies on an expertise with AI tools and understanding of an evolving AI landscape to define AI architectures and selecting the appropriate technology to help solve our client’s problems. The AI Architect is a “roll-up-the sleeves” individual who is able to adapt in the midst of rapid changes and is able to collaborate with both business development opportunities and as a delivery partner. This leader also will help in the development of AI talent within Tech Build.


Develops technology solutions that provide Point B with a competitive and outsized market advantage, and allow for repeatable outcomes that address our client’s biggest problems

Identify market opportunities for the application of AI solutions that solve our customer’s business challenges through delivery of AI and consulting solutions

Designs, develops, and integrates tech-enabled products and capabilities that make our solutions more scalable, repeatable, and profitable

Leads and manages a portfolio of emerging AI solutions, developing strong relationships internally and externally

Serves as the key contact and trusted advisor for clients, including earning loyalty through superior service and responsiveness

Grows and cultivates our partnership ecosystem in the AI domain

Accountable for quality client service delivery and for overall client satisfaction with emerging AI solutions and products

Partners with stakeholders across Point B’s various service lines to ensure alignment of solutions with Inc. level strategies, enhance current brand solutions, drive innovation in new offerings, and exceed customer expectations.

Drives sales volume and velocity for AI, ML, and intelligent automation technologies opportunities as subject matter expert in domain

Delivers client billable work in the context of technology related consulting, build and delivery; scale depends on the needs of the firm

Supports hiring decisions for the Technology Build team

Creates opportunities to attract, grow and retain talent in the AI solutions space

Develops and grows team skills and capabilities in AI

Develops team members through coaching, mentorship, delivering thoughtful feedback, and identifying opportunities to help team members achieve their professional goals and align with Point B’s business interests

Consistently demonstrates and lives Point B cultural tenets and values

Actively engages in Point B’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) efforts

Participates in firm culture activities to connect regularly with other Point B’ers (e.g., account meetings, Geo Meetings, etc.)

B.A. or B.S. required in mathematics or computer science

10+ years of business experience; minimum of 5 years client facing experience

Experience in start-up or other entrepreneurial ventures

Expertise in technology, consulting, and business

Known for exceptional client service delivery

Excellent interpersonal, communications, public speaking, and presentation skills

Proven experience in designing and deploying AI/ML solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Experience in the implementation of semantic search and generative AI architectures

Experience in working with machine learning tools and pipelines such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, MLflow, Kubeflow, or SageMaker

Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP and their AI/ML services

Experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration systems (Kubernetes)

Knowledge of data storage and processing systems, including Vector stores (Chroma, pgvector, Azure Cognitive Search, Pinecone, Supabase, etc.), Hadoop, Spark, and various NoSQL and SQL databases

Familiarity with development libraries such as Langchain (Python or JS), fixie.ai, llama index, etc.

Proficiency in implementing semantic search solutions

Experience with various foundation models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Vertex, Open Source, etc.)

Understanding of basic generative AI architectures, e.g., retrieval augmentation, question/answering

The estimated salary range for this role is $168,500 - $276,500 USD per year. This salary range is provided as required by local and state law as applicable. Individual salaries vary on a number of factors including but not limited to geography, skills, education, experience and unique qualifications where applicable.


Bonuses are awarded at Point B’s discretion and are based upon individual contributions and overall firm performance.
