The job
The AI Application Senior Technologist will build the runtime foundations and user experiences for Agent-powered applications across AVEVA's industrial software portfolio. This role combines expertise in Agent frameworks, AI interaction design, and software engineering to deliver intuitive, reliable, and scalable AI experiences. You will work closely with Product and Engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities into HMI/SCADA workflows and accelerate the adoption of AI-powered productivity tools.
Key responsibilities
Design and develop Agent runtime frameworks, execution workflows, and AI-assisted user experiences.
Build and maintain reusable Agent Skills and capabilities, with a focus on industrial automation use cases.
Define Agent execution strategies, task decomposition approaches, and capability boundaries.
Develop, integrate, and optimize AI interaction tools and conversational interfaces.
Improve Agent performance, reliability, observability, and overall user experience across AI-enabled products.
Essential requirements
Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
Strong knowledge of MCP, Agent frameworks, Tool Calling, Planning, Memory, and related AI application patterns.
Experience designing and implementing Agent Skills, workflows, and execution frameworks.
Familiarity with mainstream large language model APIs and AI application development practices.
Strong software engineering, system design, and troubleshooting skills.
Desired skills and competencies
Experience building AI-native user experiences, copilots, conversational interfaces, or AI productivity tools.
Strong curiosity and passion for emerging AI technologies, with a drive to translate innovation into customer value.
