Mobileye is the global leader in the development of computer vision and machine learning, data analysis, localization and mapping for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems and autonomous driving. Mobileye’s technology helps keep passengers safer on the roads, reduces the risks of traffic accidents, saves lives and has the potential to revolutionize the driving experience by enabling autonomous driving. Mobileye’s proprietary software algorithms and EyeQ® chips perform detailed interpretations of the visual field in order to anticipate possible collisions with other vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, animals, debris and other obstacles. Mobileye’s products are also able to detect roadway markings such as lanes, road boundaries, barriers and similar items; identify and read traffic signs, directional signs and traffic lights; create a Mobileye Roadbook™ of localized drivable paths and visual landmarks using REM™; and provide mapping for autonomous driving.
The Position: AI Algorithm Engineer
Mobileye China R&D Center is looking for an AI Algorithm Engineer to join our Perception team and develop advanced machine learning algorithms that enable autonomous vehicles to accurately understand their surroundings. In this role, you will work on large-scale perception systems that process sensor data from cameras and other automotive sensors to detect, classify, and track objects in complex real-world environments.
You will collaborate closely with research, software, and system engineering teams to design and deploy robust perception models that operate reliably at production scale.
What will your job look like:
- Develop and improve deep learning models for perception tasks such as object detection/tracking, semantic segmentation, etc.
- Work with large-scale driving datasets to train and evaluate machine learning models
- Optimize models for performance, accuracy, and robustness across diverse driving scenarios
- Analyze edge cases and failure modes to continuously improve perception performance
- Implement scalable training, validation, and evaluation methodologies
We expect you to:
- Possess Ph.D. or M.S. in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or related fields
- Outstanding coding skills and proficient in algorithms with Python, C/C++, etc.
- Strong product background and hands on experiences in building product-quality computer vision, deep learning and general AI technologies. Intensive experience with at least one DL framework such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Interested in and thoughtful about the diverse AI technology (CNNs, GNNs, transformer and different domains of detection, segmentation, LLM, AGI, etc.)
- Highly motivated self-starter/self-learner in full stack of technologies.
- Strong oral/written communication in Mandarin and English. And a great team player.
