Petrochemicals: Adani Group is making significant strides in the petrochemical landscape with the establishment of its inaugural petrochemical complex, named Green PVC. This initiative aligns with our broader strategy in the petrochemicals, oil & gas, and downstream sectors.The Petrochemicals Business Unit is spearheading the Green PVC project, which entails a substantial investment of INR 26,000 crore. This investment is focused on integrating the acetylene route to facilitate sustainable polyvinyl chloride (PVC) manufacturing. Currently in the execution phase, the project is on track to deliver its first product by June 2026.
Job Purpose: The Instrumentation Engineering Lead assists in reviewing and recommending site plot plans and tender documents, ensuring alignment with project requirements. They manage instrumentation engineering activities, provide progress updates, handle project change requests, and conduct technical risk assessments, ensuring adherence to industry standards. The role involves developing and updating technical specifications, reviewing and approving control systems architecture, and assisting in procurement activities. The Instrumentation Engineering Lead monitors project documentation and budgets, prepares status reports, and provides on-site support during the construction phase. They ensure compliance with safety standards, conduct risk assessments, and coordinate with stakeholders. Additionally, they oversee the daily performance of the instrumentation team and facilitate training initiatives to enhance technical skills and ensure project success.

Project Planning and Coordination:
Ensure alignment with project requirements by reviewing and recommending site plot plans and tender documents.
Ensure adherence to industry standards by managing instrumentation engineering activities, providing progress updates, handling project change requests, and conducting technical risk assessments.
Achieve project goals by coordinating and leading technical meetings to address contractor and vendor queries.
Ensure detailed project schedules are developed and implemented by collaborating with the Instrumentation Engineering Head, SME, and other team members.
Technical Specification, Analysis, and Review:
Ensure compliance with project requirements, codes, and statutory norms by developing, reviewing, and updating technical standard specifications.
Ensure compliance with project requirements by reviewing and approving instrumentation & control systems architecture (including DCS, ESD, PLC, FGS, and MCMS), construction, and material specifications. Oversee the design and implementation of analysers, custody transfer metering, and automatic tank gauging systems.
Ensure compatibility with licensors' and project specifications by assisting in procurement activities, reviewing the selection, interfacing testing, and compatibility of control systems and field devices.
Identify and resolve technical issues by conducting technical audits.
Project Monitoring, Reporting, and Budget Control:
Ensure effective project monitoring and control by tracking project documentation and budgets and providing regular updates to the Instrumentation Engineering Head & SME.
Highlight project progress, potential issues, and risks by preparing and presenting status reports.
Ensure financial efficiency by participating in budgeting activities and recommending cost-saving measures.
Field Engineering Support:
Ensure smooth construction and commissioning phases through on-site support for instrumentation and control systems until plant start-up and stabilization.
Ensure adherence to project specifications by providing inputs for Construction Work Packages development and overseeing the installation and testing processes of control systems & field devices. Resolve technical issues promptly during the construction and plant start-up phases.
Compliance, Safety, and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations by conducting safety audits, assessing compliance, and communicating detailed findings to stakeholders.
Ensure materials and equipment meet project compliance requirements and quality standards by reviewing material requisitions and vendor submissions for technical accuracy.
Ensure project specifications and compliance requirements are met by supporting procurement and construction teams.
Mitigate project risks by identifying and assessing risks in project design and construction, conducting regular risk assessments, and implementing mitigation measures.
Ensure alignment with environmental goals by incorporating basic sustainability practices into HSE measures and design recommendations, adhering to local and international regulatory standards.
Stakeholder Management:
Ensure vendors meet technical capabilities and project timelines by evaluating and monitoring their performance.
Facilitate seamless project execution by coordinating effectively with contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
Enhance communication among stakeholders, including engineering, construction, and licensing entities, to support project execution.
Team Management:
Ensure project success by overseeing and managing the daily performance of the instrumentation team, maintaining high standards in coordination, technical execution, and effective utilization of each member's expertise.
Ensure continuous improvement of technical skills and performance by facilitating and supporting training and development initiatives aligned with project goals and industry standards.

Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
B.E/B.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering from a reputed institute/university.
Master's degree in Instrumentation Engineering is preferred.
Advanced degrees or certifications in Instrumentation engineering or project management are advantageous.
Work Experience (Range of years):
15-20 years of total work experience.
At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role in a large or mid-sized organization.
Skills Required
- B.E. or B.Tech. degree in Instrumentation Engineering from a reputed institute or university
