Who You Are:

KBR is looking for a motivated Agile Systems Engineer to join our team and provide Systems Engineer Technical Advisor (SETA) support for the Intelligence Community Customer Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED). GED plays a critical role in enabling the Intelligence Community Customer to plan and execute intelligence-gathering missions, transforming collected data into useful information for the Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) users.

In this role, you will have the chance to design, develop, test, and deliver products that support our customers’ advanced systems. In support of GED Front Office, Chief Architect, Integrated Intelligence Program Office, Advanced Ground Office, and Enterprise Data Applications and Platforms.  You'll collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams focused on hardware, software, system integration, and data analysis to help achieve important missions and meet requirements.

This is a contingent position based upon contract award 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the full software/system development lifecycle: design, coding, testing, debugging, deployment, and maintenance.

  • Work with product owners, stakeholders, developers, QA, and operations to translate requirements into system solutions.

  • Apply Agile principles: manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables in an iterative, customer-focused manner.

  • Design and implement system architectures: ensure scalability, security, and performance while aligning with business goals.

  • Debug defects, troubleshoot system problems, and implement fixes promptly.

  • Ensure systems meet quality, security, and regulatory standards.

  • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices through training and self-study.

  • Create and maintain documentation: produce clear design and implementation documentation for future reference.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance and Polygraph.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, with proven leadership in technical projects; experience in agile environments and DevOps practices.

  • Proficiency in systems engineering tools, Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban), and relevant programming or scripting languages.

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities; ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.

  • Strong understanding of Agile, DevOps.

  • Time management and ability to handle multiple tasks.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Basic Compensation:$121,100 –166,500 annum (This range is for the VA area only)The rate offered will be based on the selected candidate’s work location, knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience, contract affordability and consideration of internal parity.Additional Compensation:KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation.
