About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced and passionate AEO/SEO Specialist to join our digital marketing team. The ideal candidate has a minimum of five years of hands-on SEO experience, a deep understanding of the evolving landscape of search including AI visibility, and a proven track record of driving organic growth. You'll own how people – and AI platforms – find us online. This role sits at the intersection of SEO, AEO (answer engine optimization), and website management. You'll research and plan the search content strategy, work with writers and then build pages yourself in our CMS.

You'll be a proactive force in our marketing team, eager to explore new ideas and lead discussions, and your enthusiasm for the industry will be a key driver of your success.

Your key responsibilities

SEO & AEO strategy

  • Research keywords, search intent, and competitor content gaps.

  • Optimise pages for both traditional SEO and AI answer engines (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, etc.).

  • Monitor AI citations of our content and adjust strategy accordingly.

  • Track rankings, traffic, and visibility via GSC and GA4.

  • Manage the external SEO agency: briefing, reviewing, and approving implementation.

Website & CMS management

  • Build and publish pages directly in the CMS.

  • Structure pages with clean headings, internal links, and schema markup.

  • Maintain consistent formatting, metadata, and URL structure.

  • Fix technical SEO issues (broken links, missing meta descriptions, slow pages, duplicate content).

  • Liaise with the website agency on complex SEO/AEO-related updates.

Content collaboration

  • Partner with writers, designers, and SMEs to turn briefs into published pages.

  • Give clear feedback so drafts are optimised for readers and search/AI crawlers.

  • Flag content gaps, outdated pages, and new opportunities.

Reporting & leadership

  • Build and maintain a reporting framework covering organic performance, visibility, and AI citations.

  • Present findings to stakeholders clearly and compellingly, including impact and next steps.

  • Run technical SEO audits and use data (GSC, GA4, SEMrush, AI tools) to refine strategy.

  • Stay current on algorithm updates, industry trends, and Generative AI/SEO developments.

  • Champion a culture of continuous learning on search topics across the department.

Your experience
  • 5+ years of professional SEO experience, with strong knowledge of on-page, off-page, technical, and Gen SEO principles.

  • Hands-on experience with SEO tools (GSC, GA4, an enterprise SEO platform) and publishing/editing pages directly in a CMS (e.g. Storyblok).

  • Deep expertise and passion for AEO/Gen SEO — including how LLMs and Generative AI impact search and content, how AI answer engines source/cite content, and AI literacy to optimise the site accordingly.

  • Working knowledge of schema.orgstructured data, plus comfort reading/troubleshooting HTML and basic technical SEO (no dev background required).

  • Strong writing/editing skills – able to tighten content without losing meaning.

  • Skilled at managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.

  • Proactive, positive, and solutions-oriented, with strong communication skills for presenting complex information clearly and confidently.

  • Relentless curiosity and passion for staying current in the fast-changing SEO landscape.

If you are a driven and innovative AEO/SEO professional ready to make a significant impact, we encourage you to apply.
