Join Pitney Bowes as an Advisory Network Engineer

Job Location – Pune/Noida 

 

Impact 

As an advisory network engineer, you will be part of our core SRE team that Supports and maintains mission critical enterprise applications. You will be involved in ensuring the availability of the Products and the infrastructure on which they are hosted.  You will have access to various monitoring and troubleshooting tools that you would be using to do an investigation and resolve issues. You would also be responsible for doing a Root Cause Analysis and take necessary Corrective Actions to prevent reoccurrence of issues. Being a Senior SRE you will be a person who brings fresh ideas, demonstrates a unique and informed viewpoint, and enjoys collaborating with a cross-functional team to develop real-world solutions and positive user experiences at every interaction 

 

The Job 

  • Design, implement and perform operational support of the company’s network infrastructure, including Switches (Aruba, Arista, Cisco, HP), routers (Arista, Cloudgenix, Cisco), wireless (Cisco, Aruba), Firewalls (Fortinet, Cisco, Zscaler) Network Policy (ISE, Clearpass), DNS/DHCP (Infoblox), load balancers (F5) and network visibility (Arista, NetScout, ExtraHop). 

  • Design & Development of Network Infrastructure Solutions that are highly available and support business continuity requirements. 

  • Simplify, Secure, Standardize, Automate, and develop Self Service throughout the Network Services portfolio. 

  • Work with the Network Operations Team to educate and train staff on network technologies. 

  • Work with PB’s business areas, vendors and other system professionals to identify, design and implement innovative network solutions. 

  • Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for products that support the network Infrastructure. 

  • Participate in workflow and policy improvements. 

  • Support engineering and sustaining engineering projects as the Global Network Services representative. 

  • Establish the networking environment by designing networking configurations, participating with installations, and defining, documenting, and enforcing network standards. 

  • Develop and maintain network topology, solution, and application-flow diagrams. 

  • Assist Network Operations maximizing network performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages. 

  • Secure network systems by implementing security controls and establishing and enforcing policies; defining and monitoring access. 

  • Working with Network Operations, select and implement network and network security tools along with network standard operating procedures. 

  • Provide on-call 24x7 support when required. 

  • Assist with preparing Statement of Work documents and seeking vendor input. 

 

Qualifications & Skills required 

This is a critical service delivery role requiring experience with complex datacenter and cloud hosting environments. Pitney Bowes product hosting solutions leverage multiple technologies in complex data center and cloud environments that support multi-tiered high-availability applications. The role requires a talented self-directed and self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and the following skills:  

 

Strong Technical knowledge of the following network/security Infrastructure technologies: 

  • Public Cloud providers (e.g. Amazon AWS/Azure) 

  • Cisco, Aruba, or Arista Switching 

  • Cisco/Aruba Wireless 

  • Firewalls (Fortinet/Cisco ASA/Zscaler) 

  • SD-WAN (Cloudgenix, Fortinet) 

  • DNS/DHCP (Infoblox) 

  • Load Balancing (F5. Cloudflare) 

  • Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF) 

  • Scripting knowledge and automation experience (Terraform/Python/Ansible)
