The Advisor, Customer Intelligence (Data Analytics) is part of the Operational Excellence team and is responsible for collecting data such as: demographic, geographic, financial & transactional information of customer databases as well as operational and process performance data to develop, format and communicate files, reports & dashboards. These results will then be used to communicate insights for strategic, financial, and/or operational decisions. Position works hybrid and is based on San Juan, PR.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains and ensures the data structure, cleanness, and accuracy of all financial and statistical information used on files and reports to maintain reliability of the process.
- Formats and interprets the information collected to give answers to the questions that the company has raised as part of its strategic plan.
- Provides organized information and/or database and identify trends and patterns to be used in process improvements identification, systems usage improvements, operational strategies definitions, among others.
- Analyzes statistical and financial information related to the results of the strategies and identifies trends and deviations to anticipate leaks or decreases operations management activity, process improvement opportunities or operating systems usage optimizations.
- Assess new database or reports development. Creates and implements the use of the necessary reports to measure, analyze and report results of all initiatives.
- Evaluates new tools and functionalities to manage and analyze database. Enhances the capabilities of the applications. Searches for new features and capabilities operations management and transactional tool or new apps that are part of the operations eco-system.
- Other duties may be assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in statistics, business, computer science, math, data science or related field required.
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics. Experience in the banking industry highly desirable.
- Minimum education and experience required can be substituted with the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
- Adept in extracting, digesting, combining & analyzing large sets of data.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
- Proficient in SQL, VBScript, Power Query, Power Pivot & Power BI.
- Knowledge in AWS Quicksight preferable.
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills both in English and Spanish.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, to manage relationships across all levels of the organization.
