Job Description:
- Develop new silicone-based compositions and materials addressing the needs of a growing portfolio of adhesives, coatings and specialty materials within a Global R&D Team.
- Interface with and assist MPM’s customers in China, East Asia and SEA, translate unmet customer needs into technical requirements for the design of differentiated products addressing regional and global markets.
- Develop solid understanding of patent landscape and effectively contribute to obtaining patent coverage for proprietary technology and processes.
- Effectively manage planning, execution and alignment of multiple projects from inception through assistance with scale-up and commercialization.
Additional Details:
- MS in Polymer Science, Polymer Chemistry, or Materials Science/Chemistry/Chemical engineering with demonstrated emphasis on chemistry.
- Minimum 5 years-experience in the coatings industry in a product development role
- Acceptable oral and written communication skills in English a must.
- Demonstrated successful interaction with multidisciplinary teams in a product development role, as evidenced by commercial or near-commercialization products, trade, conferences or similar technical publications.
- Demonstrated creativity in devising innovative products resulting from close interaction with customers.
