The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join ISC Engineering team. ISC Engineering team is one team of trusted experts creating the manufacturing processes, technologies, and supply chain that allows our factories to consistently deliver products that delight the customer. The Advanced Project Engineer in ISC Engineering team is responsible to lead the execution of ISC Engineering projects (Material productivity saving through Value Engineering projects).
ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for:
· Lead and directly manage value engineering and strategic cost reduction projects for products manufactured in APAC region for Honeywell Aerospace (primarily mechanical product but can also be electrical)
· Manage project funding, resources and timeline
· Establish and maintain a robust Value Engineering / Cost reduction ideas pipelines that meet AOP commitments by:
o Raising ideas for drawing change leading to manufacturing cost reduction
o Working with site on Hardly Moving Inventory to convert into part with demand reducing site inventory
o Developing Value Engineering Project proposals, including project plans and cost/benefit analyses.
o Partnering with Engineering, Quality, Sourcing and the supply base to determine the lowest cost designs
o Hold regular meetings with cross functions and suppliers to review program status/issues: prepare agenda, provide translation, meeting minutes and ensure follow up of action plan.
o Build collaborative relationships with APAC suppliers for cost reduction workshops
QualificationsYou Must Have:
· Bachelor’s Degree in an Electrical/Manufacturing Engineering discipline with 10 plus years of experience in either Mechanical Engineering, Integrated Supply Chain or Manufacturing Operations
· Five plus years of Project Engineering/Program management leadership experience
· Strong understanding of general principles of mechanical design and manufacturing processes. Be able to evaluate engineering designs for producibility, cost, and quality.
· Green belt certified; Black Belt, Lean Expert, or PMP certified will be a plus
· self-motivated & self starter, ability to generate own new opportunities/ideas in complex organizations and drive projects to success.
· Professional written and verbal communications skills in English
We Value:
· Experience working in a manufacturing environment (Hands-on manufacturing shop-floor experience is a plus)
· Understanding of the cost structure of typical manufacturing processes of mechanical products
· Effective global communication, presentation, leadership, teaming and people skills.
· Cross-functional working experience between multi-site environments.
· Ability to meet tight deadlines, high degree of focus on quality of work product.
· Able to prioritize and manage multiple project/programs with limited and shared resources.
