As an Advanced Engineering Support Specialist here at Solstice, you will lead a team of engineers, ensuring successful execution of support activities and high-quality solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet engineering support requirements.
Key responsibilities.
- Create preliminary drawings, submit them for review, and prepare layout and detailed drawings once the review is complete.
- Review specifications and assess manufacturing feasibility for customer part drawings, providing feedback on necessary changes.
- Prepares and maintains comprehensive documentation for all tooling designs, including design guide rule, specifications, material requirements, and component bills of materials (BOMs).
- Help diagnose and resolve issues that occur with tools on the production floor, working with Tool maintenance and Engineering teams.
- Based on feedback from testing or production, make necessary adjustments and modifications to tool designs to improve performance, durability, and efficiency.
- continuously evaluate and improve existing tooling and processes to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Tool and Die Making or Mechanical Engineering from a reputable university with specialized training in Tool and Die Making.
- At least 3 to 5 years of hands-on Experience in designing progressive stamping dies, including complex forming and coining operations.
- Proficiency in CAD software, including SolidWorks and AutoCAD, for 2D and 3D design.
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and schematics.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, alongside solid mathematical and precision skills.
- Maintain a good command of both spoken and written English with good presentation skills.
