Valeo Thermal Systems

Skawina’s engine cooling plant is the largest and oldest Valeo site in Poland. The plant designs and manufactures the latest generation of innovative heat exchangers, i.e., engine coolers, oil coolers, air turbocharger coolers, air-conditioning and complete engine cooling systems (cooling modules), which in addition to their basic functions allow to reduce fuel consumption and emissions of harmful substances including carbon dioxide.

Currently for our entity Valeo Thermal Systems in Skawina we recruit an Advanced Development Technical Manager.

JOB SUMMARY:

Leader of platform development in terms of technology and productivity for assigned PG/PLs or CLs within a given timeframe.  He/She ensures the achievement of the objectives defined by the management in accordance with the following criteria: quality, cost, timing, competitiveness, respect of the environment, health & safety at work.

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

• • Define, deploy and manage a roadmap to reach the expected results (quality, cost, timing, competitiveness) 

• • Analyze the performance of his/her scope in terms of costs, quality, timing, compliance with standards, personnel costs, etc., identify areas for improvement, define actions to be implemented, monitor their progress and control the implementation of the actions.  

• • Ensure the availability of the resources necessary for the achievement of objectives (human, financial, technical).  

• • Ensure the training plan for all employees under his responsibility.  

• • Initiate any necessary actions to ensure the health, safety and working conditions of staff.  

• • Participate in the definition of standards, processes and methods according to the guidelines of the Management Representative.  

• • Apply the Environment Safety and Security procedures and good practices; know, understand and apply the requirements of the ISO14001 standard and OHSAS18001 standard.  

• • Promote innovation, IP protection, and support patent applications.  

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

• • Master's degree in engineering.  

• • At least 5 years of experience in the automotive industry or relevant industries.  

• • Good communication skills and ability to convince people at different levels.  

• • Ability to take initiatives and solve problems.  

• • Autonomous, proactive, team player, result oriented, leadership skills.  

• • Fluent English language skills.  

• • Experience in managing teams.  

• • Willingness to travel on business.
