Job Title:Advanced ADE, Korea RMS

Summary:Application Development Engineer for Urethans Additive - RMS segment, working closely together with other functional teams especially Marketing, Commercial and R&D to identify & develop new business opportunities for Korea region and global transplants of Korea RMS customers to deliver the sustainable growth for the company.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintain regular technical contacts with PU Rigid, Molded and Specialties customers, understand day-to-day needs and suggest best use of additives packages or solutions with special focus on production of polyurethane foam, support customers on technical inquiries and troubleshooting.
  • Introducing existing and new PU products to customers and follow-up internal/external qualification work and takes care of follow-up on samples, customer trials and quality issues.
  • Execute or contribute to laboratory work required to identify and demonstrate additives solution to customer needs. 
  • Close collaboration with equipment or process partners to drive process optimization, yield improvement and mass production solution
  • Provide feedback and strategic input into Marketing and R&D for new or uncovered needs and market trends as well as new product developments.
  • Suggest modifications to existing product portfolio based on customer input and market analysis and gather market competitive intelligence including new technologies, market trends, IP opportunities etc.
  • Deliver regular technical product training on product benefit to Commercial and distributors.
  • Identify the market trends, customers un-met needs as POC or NPC back to RD team as standard NPIs or platform development.

    Qualifications:

    • Basic English in verbal and written communication skills to communicate seamlessly with global team
    • Bachelor degree in polymer science, chemistry, chemical engineering, material science or related field
    • Strong customer orientation as well as experienced in customer relationships and in building sustainable business relationships.
    • Ability to work in laboratory environment and hands on mentality.
    • Highly creative, self-motivated individual with strong technical affinity.
    • Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills.
    • Good knowledge of standard Office programs e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word and SAP.
    • Open minded, self-motived, strong initiation and result oriented
    • At least 3 yrs experience in PU market

    [Preferred Qualification]

    • Extensive experience on production or technical service for polyurethane foam or related market.
    • Good project management skills and basic commercial skills.
    • Ability for effective teamwork and strong team player.
    • Fluent English in both verbal and written communication skills to communicate seamlessly with global team
    • MNC work experience is preferred
