Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Adobe Products Data Engineer with deep expertise in Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), specifically Customer Data Platform (RTCDP) and Customer Journey Analytics (CJA). This role will focus on building, managing, and optimizing data pipelines, profiles, and datasets that power customer experiences across the Adobe ecosystem.
The ideal candidate combines strong data engineering capabilities with hands-on experience across Adobe products and a solid understanding of identity resolution, data governance, and profile management.
Key Responsibilities
AEP Query Service & Data Engineering
- Build and maintain scheduled CTAS (Create Table As Select) queries to populate profile-enabled datasets
- Develop JSON-to-Excel transformation processes to support Product Information Management (PIM) workflows
- Design and implement new XDM schemas for onboarding additional brands into AEP
- Create and maintain data transformation pipelines (SQL-based) to onboard and append new brand data
- Evaluate and optimize how datasets are stitched and merged, with a focus on improving current “most recently updated” logic
Identity & Profile Hygiene
- Monitor, QA, and troubleshoot dataflow errors in AEP (including intermittent sync issues & transformation issues)
- Perform profile and segment overlap analysis to identify audience conflicts and ensure optimal targeting
- Provide insights into segmentation strategy to prevent competing customer messaging
- Maintain CJA connections and data views, including field-based stitching configuration
- Maintain AEP source connectors, Data Landing Zone, batch vs streaming ingestion, API-based ingestion, familiarity with Postman
Documentation & Governance
- Maintain and update segment activation documentation, data dictionaries, and system documentation
- Optimize and maintain XDM schemas and field descriptions within the platform.
- Contribute to data governance best practices, including data usage standards and process documentation
- Support compliance-related improvements, including processes for profile suppression or deletion (opt-out requests)
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (4-year) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- Hands-on experience with:
- Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) RTCDP
- Customer Journey Analytics (CJA)
- Strong expertise in:
- SQL and data transformation logic
- Data modeling, schema design, and dataset management
- Profile-enabled datasets and identity resolution concepts
- Experience with large-scale data migrations and data model architecture best practices.

The hiring range for this position is $87,800 - $128,750 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary based on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
