JOB SUMMARY:
Supports Director of Admissions and facility leadership to assure admission processes are followed and complete and patient transitions into facility are satisfactory.
Come join our team as an Admissions Assistant at our state of the art, skilled nursing facility. This position assists or Admissions liaison in achieving facility census goals and assuring facility procedures related to admissions are followed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support director of admissions with assuring all data required for admissions is documented in EMR (including but not limited to sex offender checks, PASRR/HENS)
- Responsible for running Dorado checks on new referrals, and validating appropriate payer source.
- Works in conjunction with case management to assure prior authorizations are obtained and copay/financial responsibilities are assessed and communicated with director of admissions.
- Support Director of Admissions with family communication.
- Provide tours of facility under discretion of Director of Admissions.
- Be familiar with facility rules and regulations in order to provide accurate information to the residents and their families and to answer questions as they come up.
- Conduct sign-in paperwork with new admissions.
- Coordinate with senior living on shared prospects.
- All other duties specified by management staff.
Qualifications
- Team member has to have High school diploma or equivalency.
- Successful completion of Outmatch Assessment showing compatibility with role.
- Organizational skills and communication skills a must.
- Has to be proactive and anticipate the needs of the patients and families.
- Needs to take initiative and have excellent communications skills.
- Must be pleasant, cheerful, tactful, and courteous to residents, relatives, visitors, and other personnel.
