About Sunrise Group

Sunrise Group is building the future of sleep health by combining breakthrough technology with expert care. We started in 2015 with a straightforward idea: sleep diagnosis should happen in the comfort of your own home, not in a hospital. To make that possible, we created a first-of-its-kind chin sensor, carefully validated through clinical research, reviewed by leading sleep experts, and cleared by the FDA.

Since then, Sunrise Group has grown from a single innovation into a complete sleep health company. We now design advanced diagnostic and treatment solutions, and we deliver care directly to patients through Dreem Health, our digital sleep clinic. By serving patients in all 50 states with reimbursed care, we are making sleep treatment more accessible, more personal, and much simpler than it has ever been.

Your Opportunity

In this key administrative role reporting to the Insurance & Revenue Operations Manager, you will ensure accurate cost estimates, reduce billing errors, and support smooth reimbursement processes.

You’ll verify insurance eligibility, confirm provider coverage, identify benefit limitations, and calculate patients’ financial responsibility — helping deliver clarity and confidence throughout the billing experience.

At Sunrise Group, we work on a problem that affects millions: poor sleep and untreated sleep disorders. Our mission is to make diagnosis and care easier to access, and we’re proud of the experience we provide to patients. We feel responsible for making it better every day. If you’re looking for the autonomy to take ownership of your work, make an impact, and be part of a team where ideas move fast and everyone has a voice -  this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

Insurance Coverage Verification
  • Confirm that the patient’s insurance policy is active on the date of service.
  • Verify policyholder details and coordination of benefits (which insurer pays first, if multiple policies exist).
  • Determine whether the healthcare provider and facility are covered under the patient’s specific insurance plan.
  • Review coverage conditions, exclusions, and service limitations.
  • Identify the patient’s financial responsibility
  • Confirm coverage for services such as telemedicine consultations, specialist care, and medical equipment (e.g., CPAP devices).
  • Record all findings clearly and accurately in internal systems.
Documentation & Data Protection Compliance
  • Maintain complete and structured documentation of all insurance verifications.
  • Ensure information supports accurate cost estimates and billing.
  • Follow strict data protection standards when handling patient information (including HIPAA requirements applicable to U.S. healthcare).
  • Ensure secure handling of sensitive personal and medical data in a cross-border environment.
Patient Communication
  • Contact U.S. patients to:
    • Confirm or update insurance details
    • Clarify insurance priority if multiple policies exist
  • Explain coverage details and expected patient costs in clear, simple language.
  • Communicate financial information professionally and empathetically.
  • Set clear expectations regarding potential out-of-pocket expenses.
  • Handle billing-related questions calmly and respectfully.
Collaboration with U.S. Teams
  • Work closely with:
    • Billing teams
    • Care coordinators
    • Clinical teams
  • Identify inconsistencies or missing information that could impact reimbursement.
  • Help reduce claim rejections by ensuring accurate upfront verification.
  • Contribute to internal quality reviews and workflow improvements.
  • Meet defined productivity and quality standards.
What You Bring
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to explain complex financial or insurance concepts clearly.
  • Professional and empathetic communication style.
  • Structured and organised approach to work.
  • Ability to manage high volumes of cases accurately.
  • Cultural sensitivity when interacting with U.S. patients.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ownership of assigned cases.
What We Offer
  • Work that matters: improving lives through better sleep
  • Real ownership, real impact, real trust
  • A close-knit team that works seriously — and laughs often
  • Remote-friendly culture
  • Hospitalization insurance (Alan)
  • Extra paid time off (20 days + 12 RTT)
  • Payflip cafeteria plan
