Description of Work

The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative assistance and general office support to Rehabilitation Counselors and other personnel in the Asheville Unit providing services to individuals with disabilities.
Job responsibilities include the following:
Greeting visitors and callers courteously and professionally, to include contact with staff, vendors and other departments and the public
Using a multi-line phone system to answer and route calls to appropriate staff members.
Preparing documents, maintaining spreadsheets, inputting data, and completing billing processes for assigned staff
Receiving applications from clients, along with requesting and obtaining medical/treatment records.
Documenting client information, interactions, and services into the case management system throughout the rehabilitation process
Utilizing office equipment and other relevant technology (software and systems) to meet office needs.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences

Salary Range: $39,244 -$68,679 Recruitment Range: $39,244 -$49,000

  • Knowledge of and/or experience working with persons with disabilities
  • Experience providing effective front-line service to the public, including responding to inquines, resolving concerns, and maintaining professionalism in and fast-paced environments
  • Experience performing routine administrative and office support functions such as data entry, document preparation, scheduling, and filing, with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of or experience working within a team setting
