- Serves as primary receptionist for the branch office
- Provide administrative support for branch office and coordinate building and technology efforts with building management, Facilities and/or IT
- Performs general clerical work and miscellaneous office duties as a branch office administrative assistant
- Sorts and routes incoming mail, emails, faxes and package for the branch office
- Performs simple and routine data entry
- Order MVRs, inspections, premium audits, and loss runs as required
- Maintain electronic underwriting file
- Solicit renewal transactions
- As necessary, re-format data for import into front end system Provide basic operational support for the product line’s underwriters.
- Provide back-up support for other Operations Assistants as needed. Provide operational, production, and underwriting reports as requested, utilizing front-end systems and/or Business Objects.
- Ensure the statistical coding and policy issuance complies with regulatory requirements for each insurance transaction
- Create policy documents which represent the insurance transaction bound by the underwriter
- Assist in special projects and other tasks when needed
- Associates degree preferred.
- Must have completion of a high school education or its equivalent and 1-4 years experience in a similar position.
- Experience in insurance industry preferred.
- Ability to follow operations procedures as outlined by supervisor/manager.
- Ability to meet processing deadlines with minimal error.
- Ability to manage a variety of projects, both long- and short-term simultaneously.
- Ability to use database software including Windows operating systems, computer network environment and printers to process insurance policy changes.
