Summary:

The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for providing the day-to-day administrative support and general operational needs to department faculty, manager, staff, post docs and students. Responsibilities and tasks include overseeing the department seminar series which involves internal/external guest speakers, assisting with travel plans, creating flyers for events and distributing to the EEOB community, placing food orders for events, processing expense reports, supplier invoices, purchase requests, interacting with vendors, maintenance requests, room scheduling, space reservations, and providing back-up support to other administrative staff as needed.

Job Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • Associates Degree with a minimum of 2-3 years of related administrative experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.

  • Experience in an academic or non-profit setting is a plus.

  • Prior financial experience is a plus.

  • Experience with using Workday in an administrative capacity a plus.

  • Attention to detail; forward-thinking and proactive approach to work.
