The PositionThe Molecular Point of Care (mPOC) Development Chapter is focused on developing, deploying, and maintaining diagnostic tests and systems for the global marketplace. Our chapter is based in Pleasanton, California, and we collaborate with others across RDS R&D to deliver technical solutions aligned with business priorities set by the mPOC Life Cycle Team within the Near Patient Care Customer Area.2
The OpportunityWe are looking for a versatile and organized professional with experience blending executive administrative support with advanced technical assistance. You, as an ideal candidate, should comfortably navigate traditional administrative responsibilities—such as travel booking, procurement, and onboarding—while confidently managing IT environments, data repositories, and agile project planning tools like Jira. Resourceful, proactive, and service oriented, you must possess exceptional communication skills to support cross-functional R&D teams both locally and remotely effectively.
May provide part-time administrative support to other local R&D chapters, as needed
Handle general executive administrative tasks such as:
Travel coordination & bookings for leaders and teams
Complete expense reports for mPOC Development Leadership team
Organize meeting logistics, set-up, catering options for team meetings
Manage staff distribution lists and communication tasks
Support with recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new staff
Support chapter with procurement tasks such as purchase order management, CAPEX process, laboratory asset management, tracking, and reporting
Support group as primary interface to local Bay Area site services and IT
Support team with advanced IT related tools, especially related to internal agile project planning using enterprise Jira tool, Lucid Board, etc.
Advanced support and coordination Chapter activities may include:
Interface with R&D DSI Lab Supervisors for lab management & documentation
Support coordination of staff training (per Chapter training matrix including interface with TMA and Cornerstone training tools)
Support with monthly staff time entry tasks (e.g., Myco system)
Support for local customized Chapter IT and computerized systems (e.g., Discovery server)
Support of online data/content repositories (S-Drive data warehouse, Google drive maintenance, internal webpages)
Provide tool and data support for Cube, VB, Python, HTML, AI tools, etc.
- 10 years of experience as an Executive Assistant, Administrative Assistant, Technical Support Specialist, or similar role. Experience within the Roche organization is highly desired.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience preferred.

The expected salary range for this position based on California is 82,500 - 153,100 USD Annually. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
