Sentara Norfolk General Hospital Cardiovascular ICU is hiring a Full-time, Day Shift, Administrative Associate.Hours/Shift: Full-time, Day Shift, working 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday.
The Administrative Associate is responsible for various administrative and operational tasks. This position provides clerical support, manages patient records, schedules appointments, and handles patient inquiries. The role involves collaborating with medical staff, management, and patients to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
Provides administrative support to the unit or department assigned. Serves as first point of contact for patients, family members and visitors on unit assigned requiring the application of excellent customer service skills.
Education
High School Grad or Equivalent Required
Bachelor's Degree Preferred
Experience
Computer Savvy with experience with Microsoft Office
Previous Experience working in a Fast-paced Environment
Customer Service Experience in a Medical Environment
One of the following skill levels is preferred:
- One year of experience in a medical environment
- Completion of a healthcare-related certificate program
- Completion of higher-level of education requirements
- Transferable skills, for example: one year or more in a call center, customer service application program, or clerical background.
