Job Summary
Barings is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the Multi Asset Asia Pacific (“MA”) team. This position is located in Hong Kong and reports to the Head of Multi-Asset, Asia Pacific.
Primary Responsibilities
The candidate selected will provide reliable, proactive and confidential administrative support primarily to MA (including both the Head MA as well as other members of the team in HK and Taiwan) and secondarily to Head Finance, IT and Operations, where applicable.
Position is responsible for administrative support including, but not limited to:

Proactive management of calendar, reminders, meeting room/facilities and co-ordination

Make travel arrangements and file expense reports

Facilitate information & work flows both within MA and in partnership with the broader Barings

Help monitor mandatory training schedule and keep track of attendance requirements (e.g. CPT hours as required by local regulators)
-
Coordination of meeting preparations and arrangements involving senior levels of management. Minutes taking for management meetings may be required
-
Compilation of departmental business reports and miscellaneous information and data as required
-
Maintaining and updating contact and other databases as requested
-
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed

Special projects as required
Qualifications
-
Proven experience supporting executives in a highly professional and fast-paced environment

College degree is preferred, minimum Associates degree or equivalent
-
Advanced skill set utilizing Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Teams, SharePoint and Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
-
Experience booking complex domestic & international travel preferred

Highly organized, ability to multi-task and handle shifting priorities
-
Takes initiative in problem solving as well as ownership and responsibility for tasks

Strong verbal & written communication skills in English, Putonghua and Cantonese preferred
