Detail-oriented Administrative Assistant wanted for a stable, growing precision manufacturing environment. Support our office and engineering teams by preparing job documentation, organizing technical files, and maintaining accurate information in our ERP system. Full-time schedule + full benefits.

Our History and Capabilities

Preci Manufacturing has operated from its current Winooski, Vermont, location since 1978. Our capabilities include CNC milling and turning, precision grinding, electrical discharge machining (EDM), deep hole drilling, gear cutting, and thread rolling. We produce precision components and assemblies, including critical fasteners for military and commercial aircraft, and work with alloys such as Inconel and Hastelloy. Our AS9100 and ISO 9001 certifications reflect our commitment to quality throughout our operations.

Position Overview

Preci Manufacturing is seeking an Administrative Assistant who will report directly to the Engineering Manager and support daily operations across our engineering and front-office teams. This position will assist with preparing job documentation, organizing technical files, creating and maintaining information within our ERP system, and providing general administrative support as needed. No prior engineering or manufacturing experience is required, and we will train the right candidate. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys detail-oriented work and wants to be part of a growing aerospace and defense manufacturing company.

How You’ll Contribute

• Review customer orders and create specification worksheets listing required documentation.

• Obtain and organize drawings and technical documents needed for jobs.

• Create work orders and Bills of Material (BOMs) within our ERP system.

• Send process sheets to vendors for subcontract process quotations.

• Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems.

• Enter and maintain accurate job and documentation information within the ERP system.

• Provide administrative support to the Engineering Manager, engineering team, and front office as needed.

• Coordinate documentation and information with internal team members to help keep jobs moving accurately and efficiently.

• Manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and organization.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook; Access experience is a plus.

• Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.

• High level of accuracy in data entry and document preparation.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

• Three to five years of administrative or data-entry experience preferred, but not required.

• Experience working with ERP systems preferred.

• Familiarity with government contracts helpful, but not required.

• No prior engineering or manufacturing experience required; willingness to learn is important.

Skills Required
