Job Summary

Location: 978 Worcester Street, Wellesley, MA
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Join Newton-Wellesley Hospital’s Orthopedics and Sports Medicine team and help support exceptional care for athletes and active patients of all levels. In this full-time Administrative Assistant role, you will be an essential part of a collaborative clinical environment, helping keep daily operations organized, patient-centered, and running smoothly.

What You’ll Do
• Provide administrative and clerical support for the Orthopedics and Sports Medicine team.
• Answer and direct phone calls, greet callers and visitors, and respond to routine inquiries with professionalism and care.
• Manage calendars, schedule appointments, coordinate meetings, and help organize itineraries as needed.
• Prepare correspondence, reports, meeting minutes, documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
• Maintain department files, records, incoming mail, and email communications.
• Support departmental operations while handling sensitive, complex, or confidential information appropriately.
• Use Microsoft Office and standard office equipment to complete daily administrative tasks accurately and efficiently.


 

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous administrative assistant or secretarial experience preferred; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Basic understanding of office procedures, including filing, copying, scanning, printing, and faxing.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, stay organized, and support multiple priorities in a professional environment.
