Intro/Program Description: This position is a part of the Innovation and Justice Division (INJ). This division is responsible for forward-looking developments that build our institutional capacity and improve our impact by fostering learning and leadership throughout the organization and among participants and community members. This position is a key addition and has a primary role in fostering alignment between the vision of varied leaders within Goddard Riverside and the vision for the larger institution.
Purpose of Position: This is a new position designed to strengthen the connections among programs at Goddard Riverside, support the INJ department including #DegreesNYC by keeping projects and activities on schedule and managing the logistics of key activities. Primary responsibilities including organizing an annual staff BBQ and holiday party for several hundred staff members.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10am-6pm, some early mornings, evenings and weekends required
Salary Range: $45,000-$50,000
Candidates must have the required qualifications to be considered for the position. The salary offer will be based on the candidate’s number of years experience in the exact or comparable position and additional preferred qualifications will be taken into account.
Roles, Responsibilities, and Essential DutiesRoles, Responsibilities and Essential Duties
- Project management: keeping a group on track to plan events and activities; ordering of equipment, refreshments and supplies for events
- Scheduling of meetings for Degrees and agency-wide, staff to attend advocacy days and events, etc
- Management of web-based systems and apps eg Monday.com, Constant Contact, Eventbrite
- Preparation of fiscal forms
- Taking notes in meetings
- Keeping people on track with projects
- Follow up with people to engage in events
- Follow up with programs to collect data as needed
- Ordering signage and materials for campaigns such as Get Out The Vote and voter registration, know your rights cards, Census outreach
- Serve as one of the administrators for Goddard’s Findhelp web-based system for internal and external referrals
- Maintain departmental records
- Attend coalition and partnership meetings as needed and track who is attending
- Supporting community usage of Goddard spaces by welcoming and hosting selected meetings that are relevant to INJ goals; coordinate with facilities and technology teams to ensure smooth functioning
