Job Description:
Administrative, technical, and clerical support in supporting the daily operations of the Code Compliance Program of the Inspectional Services Department; all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates Degree in business administration or related field; more than five years’ administrative experience in a legal , municipal, or regulatory setting; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Paralegal certification highly desirable
Additional Qualifcations:
Strong understanding of legal documentation and municipal code compliance processes; Working knowledge of town departments, operations, relationships and authority.
Ability to deal effectively and courteously with the general public and town departments. Ability to maintain accurate records. Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment with multiple telephone and walk-up interruptions. Ability to work on multiple assignments and prioritize work. Ability to meet deadlines. Ability to exercise independent decision-making. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to learn specific weights and measures software to assist processing inspectors’ reports.
Proficiency in the use of computers including database and spreadsheet data entry and word processing. Familiarity with the MUNIS system preferred. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
