Credence has an immediate opening for an Administrative Assistant who will be primarily responsible for supporting the Air Force Institute of Technology School of Systems & Logistics (AFIT/LS) directorate at WPAFB, OH.
The Office of Research and Outreach (AFIT/CZ) provides support to faculty-led, student-driven research projects primarily focused on problems related to current or anticipated Department of the Air Force and Department of Defense needs. Several research centers exist, some homed within the graduate school and some, which span the whole of the institute, are homed at the institute level.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below
- Manage and organize resources and personnel needed to efficiently and effectively meet objectives of each task and explore new approaches as applicable within the performance of these tasks.
- Conduct research and collect data on program/project information and develop and prepare presentations and briefings for office requestors on the whole range of office activities including, but not limited to studies, analyses, metrics, plans, progress reports, metric status reports, and related topics.
- Provide administrative support to Government personnel, including the Dean, Associate Dean and Director of Sponsored Programs.
- Track, and schedule leadership staff meeting frequencies and will schedule Department Head reviews between the Dean and Associate Dean, Associate Dean and Director of Sponsored Programs.
- Ensure the department operating instructions are current.
- Maintain the AFIT/CZ conference room schedule.
- Maintain the individual department SharePoint site.
- Update and maintain additional duty rosters, assignment letters, organizational charts, recall rosters and phone listings.
- Assist with the new employee in-processing system and arrange for official and name plates for all assigned individuals.
- Provide a wide range of other administrative support services to department leadership, staff, and faculty in support of courses and programs managed by the department.
- Complete and maintain the training necessary to maintain the official records of AFIT/CZ.
- Manage the tracking and uploading of official records for AFIT/CZ consistent with Air Force regulations.
- Assist with ordering office supplies, gathering requests for supplies, and preparing and itemizing various lists for supplies/equipment to be procured by the Government office.
- Assist Pre-Award Team with proposal database entry and notices to the cognizant faculty.
Requirements
- Clearance: Tier 1
- Bachelor of Science (BS)/Bachelor of Arts (BA), four years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed; or
- Eight years of directly related experience with proper certifications
