Job Description

Join the team at North West Private Hospital as a Permanent Part-Time Administration Officer and provide professional, efficient administrative support within a busy hospital environment.

This role will be based in our Day Rehabilitation and Allied Health Outpatient Clinic.

We have permanent shifts on Thursdays and Fridays and are looking for a candidate with flexibility to pick up additional week day shifts as required.

This is an opportunity to play an important role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the hospital while working alongside a welcoming and collaborative team. You will contribute to a positive experience for patients, visitors and colleagues through your strong organisational skills and customer-focused approach.

About You

We are looking for an organised, reliable and professional administration officer who enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide efficient administrative and clerical support to the department
  • Respond to enquiries from patients, visitors, staff and other stakeholders in a professional and timely manner
  • Patient payments & Accounts Management – proficiency with EFTPOS & HICAPS
  • Appointment booking, scheduling and clinic availability oversight
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation and data
  • Assist with correspondence, filing, data entry and general administrative tasks
  • Coordinate and prioritise competing tasks to meet deadlines
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
  • Follow hospital policies, procedures and workplace health and safety requirements
  • Contribute to a positive and professional patient and customer experience

  • Previous administration experience, ideally within a healthcare or customer-focused environment
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Nookal and general computer systems
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team
  • A positive, flexible and proactive approach to your work

Additional Information

  • Must provide or complete a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months.
