The role 

ALS Environmental is seeking an Administration Officer to join our team in Stafford. 

This role provides critical administrative support across client services and laboratory operations, ensuring accurate data management, effective communication, and smooth day-to-day workflow. You will play an important role in supporting service delivery and maintaining strong client outcomes.

  

The day to day 

Your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Provide administrative support to Client Services, Project Management, Accounts Department and Laboratory teams
  • Manage incoming communications (phone and email) and direct enquiries appropriately  
  • Enter, maintain and validate financial and laboratory data within Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) 
  • Perform invoice auditing, EOM account reconciliation and client claim processing  
  • Support coordination of internal workflows and communication between teams  
  • Assist with general office administration, stationery and clerical tasks  
  • Provide support to sample receipt and bottle dispatch as required  

These activities are essential to maintaining data accuracy, operational efficiency, and high-quality client service.

  • Experience in administration, customer service, or operational support roles 
  • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills  
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills  
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Adaptability to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment  
  • A positive, ‘can do’ attitude with a willingness to learn  
  • Experience in a laboratory or technical environment (desirable)  
  • The right to work in Australia
