About the Role:
We currently have an excellent opportunity for an Administration Assistant to join our Administration Team based in Lae. This role primarily exists to provide administrative support to the Administration Manager and the Business Unit and Section managers in a confidential and efficient manner.
Reporting to the Administration Manager, your competencies and experience will include:
- Ensure safety goals are achieved through personal commitment, no harm to self or others and participation in safety initiatives.
- Display fairness, exhibit trust and create real teamwork and sharing.
- Ensure business direction, team purpose and change agenda are understood, agreed to and work activities are aligned.
- Manage the flow of incoming and outgoing correspondence and initiate follow up actions where necessary.
- Proactively seek and maintain collaborative working relationships with peers and manager to deliver results.
- Provide assistance in taking phone calls and transferring phones call to suitable department.
- Ensure to be the first point of contact to meet and greet visitors, customers and contractors.
- Coordinate domestic travel arrangements for employees when required.
- Coordinate and prepare batching of utility invoices/bills such as PNG Power, Water PNG, Puma Energy, Telikom, Rentals etc; and send off to Accounts Payable for processing of payment.
- Ensure raising of supplier Purchase Order’s for each department and receipting of invoices in AX.
About You:
You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:
- Must have Grade 12 school certificate.
- Tertiary qualifications in Office Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Excellent computer knowledge, working with Microsoft Office.
- Proven stakeholder and customer engagement with a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism, and confidence.
