LabCorp is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team in Houston, TX. This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the senior management team in a professional and timely manner. The candidate must be flexible to meet the demands of a fast-paced environment. This position requires extensive exposure to confidential information requiring diplomacy, discretion and judgment. The Administrative Assistant will act as the “go to” person for any information, assistance or support.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm

Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage the calendar for the Sequenom site leadership team
- Coordinate travel arrangements for multiple individuals
- Track projects and ensure proper follow up
- Assist with the preparation of complex PowerPoint presentations and Excel documents, letters, and contracts
- Prepare and complete expense reports
- Provide administrative support for visiting LabCorp leaders
- Screen incoming calls and correspondence and respond independently, as appropriate
- Plan and organize site meetings and events
- Prepare conference rooms and place catering orders
- Order, organize, and maintain office supplies
- Support internal and external meetings. Prepare agendas, record, compile, transcribe, and distribute minutes of meetings.
- Prepare site wide notifications
- General clerical duties including photocopying, faxing, mailing as well as clerical legal support
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Associate’s degree or higher is highly desired
- Previous experience in administrative duties and customer service required
- Proven experience making travel arrangements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent ability to listen and respond
- Strong knowledge and skill with using MS office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
- Excellent interpersonal, written and spoken communication skills, and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple calendars
- Prior experience in the biotech, pharma, diagnostics or medical device industry is highly preferred
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and operate with a high sense of urgency
- Demonstrate initiative, professionalism, poise and flexibility on a consistent basis
- Strong organization, follow up and prioritization skills with the ability to manage concurrent projects
- Ability to work with all levels of leadership as well with people of diverse backgrounds
- Excellent calendar management skills and demonstrated history of complex scheduling with consistent follow through
