Job Description

Join Acumen Health and be part of a national team delivering meaningful outcomes in occupational rehabilitation. With strong local support, exposure to complex and psychological injury cases, and clear governance around your work, you’ll have the opportunity to grow your capability while making a real impact.

Support people where your rewards are truly meaningful and purposeful.

This is a unique opportunity! Acumen is the only rehabilitation service provider to ADF personnel. Be part of a team that gets our military fully fit and ready to defend and protect Australia.

  • Taking a more holistic care approach, work within a multidisciplinary team to support the journey from rehab to healing
  • Perform a variety of assessments depending on your area of clinical expertise. This could include functional capacity evaluations, worksite, ergonomic or activities of daily living assessments
  • Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders including the employee who has suffered injury, illness, or trauma, medical specialists, and other treatment providers
  • Work across ADF and DVA portfolios, supporting our Veterans and current ADF members.

You will work across local ADF bases in this hybrid role. Location may vary between the Acumen office, client site and some work from home options. If you prefer more structure in your day, we have positions opportunities available that will see you working on one ADF base only.

What will make you successful:

  • Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA, ESSA (as an EP), ASORC or AASW
  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Osteopathy, Rehabilitation Counselling, Nursing, Psychology or Social Work
  • Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams to support the achievement of a common goal
  • Passion to help people rehabilitate
  • Occupational Rehabilitation experience will be highly regarded
  • Minimum of 12 months clinical experience working in your profession with appropriate registration
  • The ability to work “on base” regularly during the hours of 07:30 – 15:30
