Lead and manage all vehicle-level ADAS/ADS testing activities, from test planning and strategy development to managing the engineering/operator team and ensuring quality, schedule, and budget targets are achieved.
Ensure that all testing activities comply with relevant ISO/SOTIF/Euro NCAP standards, support homologation documentation, and provide robust and compelling evidence to key stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, the Safety Board, and senior management.
- Strategic Test Planning: Develop long-term test plans (1–3 years), define testing phases, milestones, and gate criteria aligned with the expanding ODD roadmap and Robotaxi deployment timeline.
- People Management: Manage a team of 10–15 members, including Senior Test Engineers, Junior Test Engineers, Data Analysts, Safety Operators, and other supporting roles. Responsibilities include recruitment, training, performance management, mentoring, and building a strong, high-performing team.
- Budget & Resource Management: Manage the allocated testing budget, including equipment, software licenses, infrastructure, training, and travel expenses. Monitor costs and resource plans and recommend adjustments when necessary.
- Gate Reviews & Pass/Fail Criteria: Lead release gate review meetings, review test pass/fail rates, and determine whether the system is ready to progress to the next phase or requires additional testing.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with EE, Software, and Functional Safety teams to align on testing requirements, define failure modes, and update the Safety Case when necessary.
- Reporting & Stakeholder Updates: Prepare and present testing progress reports to management and other stakeholders; explain test results, risks, and recommended next steps.
- Regulatory Compliance & Engagement: Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements across EU, China, the US, Vietnam, and other relevant homologation standards. Work with Legal/Regulatory teams to prepare documentation, witness tests, and certification activities with independent authorities.
- Process & Documentation Development: Develop and maintain test scenarios, test guidelines, and testing procedures to ensure consistency, facilitate knowledge transfer to new team members, and support audits.
- Quality Assurance & Issue Tracking: Monitor the quality and reliability of test results, investigate the root causes of failures/incidents, recommend corrective actions, and track their implementation.
Requirements
