Position Overview

As an Ad Tech QA Engineer at Clinch, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our platform and integrations within the broader advertising ecosystem. You’ll apply deep technical and analytical expertise to validate features, maintain certifications with media partners, and ensure seamless interoperability across DSPs, SSPs, publishers, and measurement providers.

The Ad Tech QA Engineer position is a hands-on role that bridges QA, ad serving operations, and integration testing—ideal for someone who thrives on problem-solving, precision, and collaboration.


Requirements

Quality Assurance & Testing

  • Develop, execute, and automate test plans to validate product functionality, integrations, and ad delivery performance.
  • Conduct detailed QA for new features, API connections, and ad-serving workflows across web, mobile, video, and CTV environments.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs; partner with Engineering and Product to drive timely resolution.
  • Ensure test coverage aligns with product requirements and certification criteria.

Ad Tech Expertise

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in ad serving protocols, creative delivery, and tracking methodologies.
  • Troubleshoot issues with trafficking, measurement, and delivery across platforms and environments.
  • Stay current with industry standards, partner API updates, and IAB/MRC guidelines to ensure platform compliance.

Integration & Certification Support

  • Validate Clinch’s integrations and certifications with key partners (DSPs, SSPs, publishers, and data providers).
  • Collaborate with Product and Partner Engineering to manage end-to-end testing for new features and partner launches.
  • Monitor certification KPIs and contribute to continuous process improvement.

Documentation & Collaboration

  • Create and maintain QA documentation, including test cases, certification checklists, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Share findings and insights across Product, Engineering, and AdOps to ensure alignment and readiness.
  • Support internal training on QA best practices and testing protocols.

Success Criteria

Experience
  • 4+ years of experience in QA, ad tech, or digital advertising operations.
  • Strong understanding of ad serving technologies, APIs, creative formats, tracking, and delivery.
  • Proven experience testing integrations within DSPs, SSPs, or publisher environments.
  • Hands-on running big data queries, SQL, experience with dev tools, debugging tools, API testing, and QA automation frameworks.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate technical concepts for cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with privacy, compliance, and ad measurement standards is a plus.

Salary Range

$90,000 - $150,000 (Compensation commensurate with experience)
