JOB TITLE:
Actuary
JOB DUTIES:
Analyze data to forecast risk and liability for payment of future benefits, focusing in assumption development area. Contribute to the Inforce experience reviews and support the assumption development and the experience monitoring. Communicate results of recommendations and reviews to non-technical audiences. Collaborate with other departments, creating consistent messaging and improving reconciliations. Analyze experience for trends, anomalies, and assessing risk. Provide peer review and guidance to actuarial experience and assumptions team. Support maintenance and enhancements of assumption development process. Develop and document internal controls for validating and reconciling assumptions implementation with valuation, projections, and pricing data.
SALARY:
$143,541 per year

Full-time, 40 hours/week, Mon - Fri 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered, as Actuarial Associate, Actuarial Analyst, or related actuarial experience. Full term of experience must include each of the following: Actuarial processes, including valuation, projections, experience and pricing; GAAP, Statutory and Tax financial reporting requirements for term and universal life insurance; Programming in SAS, Python, SQL and VBA; Utilizing big data to provide understandable insights from analysis; and, Life insurance policyholder behavior and industry studies. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) required.
