Are you our new Actuary?

If so, you can help us to insure more customers by understanding their risks and behaviour. This is important to be able to set prices to attract the right customers and grow our profitable portfolio. You will work together with your new colleagues in Product & Underwriting, where we help each other to succeed.

About the role

Your task is to calculate the actuarial reserves for Workers Compensation. This involves understanding the claims data and creating actuarial models for assessing the future development. To succeed, it is important to have a close cooperation with Product & Underwriting and Claims to understand the portfolio, customers and claims handling.

The responsibility also includes supporting Product & Underwriting with evaluations of large customer’s risk, and maintaining tools to support them. Some reporting to internal and external parties is also included, and you are expected to follow the development of the Workers Compensation market, in terms of legal and administrative trends.

Developing the reserving work process and the tools and environment to support it together with Nordic colleagues is also a part of the work. As you develop in the role, you can also take part in other responsibilities within our team, e.g., developing pricing solutions.

About the team

Commercial Analysis is a team of skilled, curious employees across the Nordics. We like to help our P&UW colleagues with new insights and analytical approaches.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is passionate about data analysis, programming, insurance, and about sharing your ideas and insights. You like to work independently, as well as together with your colleagues.

You also have:

• A master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, engineering, or computer science. Some of the team members have also specialized in actuarial science.

• Being structured and like to get things done.

• Communication and cooperation skills.

• To be curious and analytical, and to be motivated by working hands on in various data environments like SQL, R or Python.
