The roleWhat will you be doing?
○ Support the delivery of a range of actuarial activities, analyses and projects across the business.○ Develop an understanding of how actuarial insights support business performance, decision-making and risk management.
○ Take ownership of tasks and deliver high-quality work with accuracy and attention to detail.
○ Contribute to projects aimed at improving processes, systems and ways of working.
○ Maintain clear and accurate documentation of actuarial methodologies and processes.
○ Work closely with colleagues across Finance, Risk and the wider business, developing your communication and stakeholder management skills.
○ Learn about the regulatory environment in which we operate, including Solvency II and broader risk management frameworks.
○ Build technical expertise through a combination of on-the-job experience, formal study support and professional development opportunities.
○ Progress towards qualification through our actuarial study support scheme.

What will you bring?
We're looking for talented graduates who are curious, analytical and excited to build a career in actuarial science.
You'll ideally have:
○ A degree in a numerate subject, achieved at 2:1 level or above.
○ A strong academic record, including A-Level Mathematics (or equivalent).
○ Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
○ Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate work.
○ An interest in developing a career within the actuarial profession.
○ Good communication skills and the ability to explain information clearly and confidently.
○ The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively to deadlines.
○ A proactive and inquisitive mindset with a willingness to learn.
○ Experience using Excel; exposure to programming languages such as Python, R or VBA would be advantageous but is not essential.
○ Any actuarial internship, placement year or relevant work experience would be beneficial but is not required.
Location
Hybrid working. 3 days in office , 2 days from home.
A minimum of 2 days a week from our Dorking office and option to work the third from a choice of offices in Dorking, Basingstoke & London.
