This role will be highly focused on the development and governance of actuarial modelling for the actuarial teams in the Company.Job Responsibilities
- Maintenance and development of the Prophet Deterministic and Stochastic models, as well as DCS and SQL.
- Collaborate with Pricing, Reporting teams and Regional counterparts to meet the department's modelling requirements.
- Be the subject matter expert across various actuarial disciplines and provide technical guidance, advice and support in modelling projects.
- Ensuring compliance with Internal and Group governance policies.
- Support Group-wide actuarial modelling initiatives
- Supporting the Appointed Actuary in the approval process for pricing, valuation modelling & methodology for new products.
Competencies & Personal Traits
- Passionate about driving excellence in insurance analytics.
- Good communicator. Possess the ability to explain complex actuarial matters to layman in non-technical and succinct languages.
- Detailed oriented.
- Committed to excellence and always strive to deliver results with high standards
- Good working knowledge of Prophet systems, hands-on experience on actuarial valuation data processing and management
- Experience with ALS model is preferred
- Experience with any actuarial modelling platform (such as Prophet, RAFM and PathWise)
Working Experience
- 3 - 7 years of actuarial experience or any other analytical role
Professional Qualifications
- Actuarial qualification is preferred but not necessary
Education
- Degree in Actuarial, Mathematics, Statistics or Finance
